"I love Clarendale and have from the get go. I have a little dog named Maddie and live on the first floor with a patio. I came from Kentucky because I have two daughters in the area. I like the food and also having a full kitchen in my own place for when I’m in the mood to cook. I play Rook and enjoy exercising with a group of ladies. They keep me motivated and going!"- Testimonial from Barbara B.

"My favorite things about living here are the card games and variety of participation. Other favorites are going out to lunch with the bus and the community get togethers. I really enjoy the weekly ice cream socials and happy hours!"- Testimonial from Irmgard B.

"Everybody at Clarendale of Indian Lake watches out for each other. Everyone you meet, from the residents to the staff, are friendly in their encounters with you. This community is the perfect place for my mom, to provide for her physical, medical, and social needs. Wherever there is a hole, Clarendale of Indian Lake has a net with which to catch their residents. The staff is attentive to address the needs of their residents, as well as concerns which their families may have. I cannot imagine my mom being anywhere else."- Testimonial from Jeff C.

"I have just recently admitted a friend and neighbor to Clarendale with the help of a wonder lady Cheri Anderson. Cheri has been a tremendous help and worked with me to make the transition a great experience. Thank you Cheri and thank you Clarendale for having great experienced people like Cheri to assist your clients."- Testimonial from Bruce J.

"This place is amazing. The community looks and feels like a resort. There are so many amenities such as a movie theater, bistro, nice dining room, and hair salon. Pets are allowed. It makes me want to live there. Staff are super nice and accommodating to residents' needs. All the residents look happy. I would be happy too if I lived there."- Testimonial from Margie P.

"My mom was in advanced stages of liver failure after battling breast cancer for nearly 10 years. I knew I needed to get her somewhere quickly and the Clarendale staff BENT OVER BACKWARDS! They moved things around so we could get in quickly and provide her with the care she so desperately needed. Although she was only there for 12 days before she passed, the staff treated her as if she had been there for years. My mom was very stubborn and adamant that she not "go to assisted living" because she felt like it signaled "the end". Having seen the care and support she received in such a short time, I wish we had moved her sooner. I can't say enough good things about our short but precious time with Clarendale."- Testimonial from Brian H.

"I think of Clarendale as a small city where we have our own private apartments with all the amenities. Plus we have a restaurant, a church, a movie theater, fitness centers, and a large game room where we can socialize with one another. We have an incredible and wonderful staff that not only takes care of our needs but has a challenge to make sure that each one of us is taken care of and helps us plan for the future. They don't see their work as business but a place to make our lives good. I would invite anybody looking for a place to live to highly consider Clarendale at Indian Lake. This I found out to be a secret. After looking at all the places to live, this was the diamond in the rough."- Testimonial from John R.

"My mom was in memory care at Clarendale of Indian Lake. We loved it!! The staff was so friendly and very attentive. Kaitlyn Zadick was in charge of activities and did a great job getting everyone involved and interacted so well with all the residents. Tommy, Tim, Judy were some of the nurses that took care of my mom. I am so thankful for them - their patience and care was wonderful. There were more who cared for her and I wish I knew all the names to leave on this review. I highly recommend this facility for your aging family member. It is also clean and very inviting."- Testimonial from Jane L.

"My mom-in-love has been living at Clarendale since March 2021. When we toured, I asked some of the residents a lot of questions, closely observed the staff and their interaction with residents, tasted the food in the dining room and asked questions of the kitchen staff. Let me tell you what I discovered. The staff, from front desk, to sales, to administration and kitchen staff were very attentive, didn't mind all of my questions, knew the names of all the residents I watched them interact with and took time with anyone who talked to them. I was important, but not more important than the current residents. I hoped this was all genuine and routine. Well, after 6 months, I can tell you that the staff here is the REAL DEAL!! They ALL know my mom, as well as every other resident, well. They are family. I have mingled with many other residents on a regular basis and can honestly say they love their home. Thank you Wanda, Cheri, Brooke, Cindy, Cindy, Annie, Bill, Michael, Mike, Cody and the rest of the staff for treating my family like your own. Wouldn't want my mom to be anywhere else."- Testimonial from Ronda B.

“I just want to take a minute to compliment your staff. Dad was living alone [in another local senior living location] …he had become feeble and is having trouble walking. As a result, he had become depressed and withdrawn. It took some work getting him to agree to visit and move in but we finally got him to agree.

Dad’s attitude has changed in just a week as he is now more positive and outgoing. He even loves the food – especially breakfast! We have seen a 180 degree turnaround in him and it is solely responsible to your facility and people.

From our first contact with Cheri Anderson to Wanda at the front desk to Seth in the dining area, everyone has been an absolute delight to interact with.”- Testimonial from Jim H.

“My grandmother just moved in a few weeks ago & we are pleased already! Just the other day, she put in a work order for some things around her unit & a nice man came to help her with installing towel bars and mounting her tv. She mentioned that we were going to come by and hang up her photos and he said he’d do it for her! Not only do I appreciate him offering that service at all, but the way he hung them seemed so thought out and like he genuinely cared. It really made her very happy (and us too)!! I’m thankful she is being treated well.”- Testimonial from Megan M.

“Everybody here at Clarendale has been warm and helpful. The food has been delicious. The community is spotless clean. The residents are super friendly. It really has good quality of administration here as to helping with paperwork and helping us get acclimated to the community. Mom really loves her apartment and how nice it is. There are plenty of activities to keep them busy.”- Testimonial from Bruce D.

“I just want to take this time to say a few words regarding Clarendale. My parents moved in almost 6 weeks ago from a facility in MI. And it has been the best decision we could have made. The staff from Cheri in marketing, to Wanda at the front desk, to Cindy the executive director to Megan the director of nursing and all the staff in between are exemplary!!! They take time to compassionately and kindly meet the needs of my parents. They helped make the transition almost seamless and are continually making adjustments to better serve my parents. The food is top notch and the amenities are country club level. Please consider this facility when looking for a home for your loved ones!”- Testimonial from Anjie S.

“We moved my mother in law to Clarendale the 1st of the year and have had an amazing experience! The director, Cindy, has a wonderful staff who truly care about the residents. Cindy has personally helped my MIL make a smooth transition and feel right at home. We are so thankful our mom is in a place she can call HOME❤️

I just wanted to add that we have had a very stressful week with my MIL in the hospital and have decided to make the transition from Independent to Assisted Living at Clarendale. The staff has been absolutely AMAZING helping us with this transition! We appreciate so much the care and support they are giving to her and to us as we work through these changes! We feel so blessed that she has found this place to call HOME!”- Testimonial from Tonya H.

“Every elderly person should get to live like my sweet Mom did at The Clarendale (Indian Lake Memory Care). It is a great new concept where the residents and staff live as a family. They have their own bedrooms and share the other rooms (dining room, family room, exercise and activity room) as though they all live in their personal home together. They watch out for each other, help each other, eat meals together, do activities together, play games together, have their nails done together. There is a beautiful outside patio area where they can get fresh air and sunshine. When I would visit my Mom, I would hold her hand, put lotion on her arms and legs, look into her eyes, kiss her forehead and she didn’t act like my loving gestures were any different than any other day, so I knew that the nurses and aides were doing all of these same things for her every day. This warmed my heart and comforted me as her daughter who she did not recognize near the end. I can’t say enough about the Memory Care nurses and aides at The Clarendale. They truly love their residents and every resident feels their love! Such a blessing to our family. THANK YOU!!!”- Testimonial from Cathy F.

“I don’t know where to begin. I’m new to Clarendale and it’s just all so nice and everybody is very sweet. Each member of the staff I’ve met is thoughtful and caring. It’s like family because everyone looks out for one another. Today, one of my neighbors stopped by with a plate of chocolate covered strawberries as an early Valentine’s gift for everyone on my floor. I lived at another community for a while but I always wanted to be here. And I’m so glad I am! My apartment is very well appointed with beautiful finishes. It’s spacious and I have a lot of closets, which I love. I adore my patio and it’s easy for me to let my little dog, Teddy, out the door to go outside. I’ve had some health issues lately and the staff is helping me, even though I don’t think they have to because I am in Independent Living. They check on me and make sure I have what I need. The nurse even came to see me one night. Our Director, Cindy, has become my friend. She stops in to talk with me almost each day. Recently, I had an overnight stay in the hospital. When I got out, my son asked me if I’d like to come stay with them for a few nights. I told him that I wanted to go home, to my place at Clarendale because I love it there. So, I came home and here I am.”- Testimonial from Lois H.

“Working with Clarendale has been overwhelmingly an amazing experience. Beginning with sales and administrative staff they worked with every need and requirement we asked about. Moving mom into memory care the entire staff showed us nothing but kindness and understanding. The memory care staff went above and beyond taking care of mom and making her feel as comfortable as she could be in her new environment. The staff is professional, loving caring and incredible people. I cannot express how grateful I am for this facility and the people at Clarendale. I am extremely grateful for having Clarendale recommended to me and highly recommend to you for your loved one.”- Testimonial from Daughter of Memory Care Resident

“I am a current resident at Clarendale at Indian Lake. I have recently moved in and have had nothing but excellent service and support. I find the Clarendale at Indian Lake as very clean, comfortable and pleasant to live in. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in a community like it. It is certainly a 5-star facility!”- Testimonial from Resident, Clarendale at Indian Lake

“This place is like a resort. I want to live there! The staff is epic. Everyone is super nice, and I never have to worry about my mother’s care. I get frequent updates on her status (she’s in memory care), and they are sure to let me know if she needs anything. It’s been hard not being able to go inside to see her (because of COVID), but a quick phone call sets up a window visit. She was so excited to see me the other day, even if I was standing outside her room window. She genuinely seems happier than I’ve seen her in a long time. I attribute this to the great care she is receiving. If you are looking for a place to move your loved one for Independent Living, Assisted Living or Memory Care, tell them I sent you.” - Testimonial from Craig U.

“Clarendale at Indian Lake has been awesome. They made moving my dad into independent living possible with the support staff they have…always willing to help. He could not have done this on his own without their professional assistance. I’d recommend Clarendale to anyone looking for a nice place for their parents to live, especially if there are memory issues. Everyone there is always curious for kind to my dad.”- Testimonial from Candee P.

“I cannot say enough good thing about the Memory Care facility. We moved my mom there from another facility where the service was declining. We anticipated an improved environment, and our expectations have been greatly exceeded. The staff has been incredible at all levels and seeing the smiles on mom’s face has been more than heartwarming. We are so happy and relieved we made this change.”- Testimonial from Brian S.
